Precise Welding Solution for Car-Based Cameras
Suzhou Friends Laser has been deeply engaged in the intelligent driving industry for years. Addressing core challenges in mass-producing ADAS automotive metal camera modules—particularly high-reflectivity components like aluminum alloy housings—the company developed industry-leading closed-loop laser welding systems. Leveraging precision temperature control and exceptional yield rates, these solutions serve leading automotive electronics component manufacturers worldwide.
The aluminum alloy housing of vehicle-mounted cameras exhibits high infrared laser reflectivity, making conventional welding methods prone to defects such as unstable molten pools, spatter, and poor weld quality. Additionally, lens adhesives and PCB adhesive demonstrate poor heat resistance; localized high temperatures during welding can cause lens displacement, imaging distortion, or module failure—two major challenges that have long hindered yield improvements in mass production.
Leveraging our proprietary ring-shaped spot layered energy control optical path technology, we have effectively addressed the key challenge of high-reflection aluminum welding: the outer ring beam provides gentle preheating to reduce aluminum's reflective properties, while the inner ring delivers precise energy fusion combined with dynamic energy curves to suppress spatter, resulting in dense welds free from pores and a stable overall module welding yield exceeding 99.5%. The equipment features an independent thermal conduction suppression system that strictly controls the workpiece surface temperature within 75°C, completely eliminating risks associated with high-temperature-induced adhesive brittleness, and is fully compatible with full-range production of high-definition automotive cameras including 3M,8M, and 13M specifications.
Friends Laser offers customers fully automated online and offline solutions to meet diverse production requirements across various scenarios.
